Constructed from two slabs of polished pale marble
separated by a massive, triangular section, anodized-alloy
columns - all tensioned by threaded rods running through
the structure - the shape of the marble echos the curves of
the Droplet 5.0 CDP, with the columns directly beneath the
cones on the base of the CD player. It turns the superb
Droplet into a real work of art.

Following our great success with the Droplet CDP5.0, we
have decided to bring some of its advanced technology to a
smaller size non-tube CDplayer ...... Droplet CDP3.1(Mini
Droplet).
Droplet CDP3.1 is the latest advanced 24bit over sampling
CD-player Opera audio ever developed, Advanced digital and
analogue design, construction techniques and components
which have been carefully selected combine to provide the
highest performance. The top-loading CD-drive and support
are all remain the technology developed for the Droplet
CDP5.0. Besides it has achieved a clear technological
improvement over the previous over sampling design with the
ability to process signals as high as 768 kHz to release
all the information available in your CD disk library.

Forbidden City Turandot Solid State CD Player

The Turandot balanced tube CDP uses Burr-Brown PCM1792
DACs, offers less than 14ps of distributed jitter and a S/N
ratio of better than 120dB. Different finish options
include the red/silver shown and a black panel with red
squares and black body. Additional Forbidden City
components are in the works including a tubed processor.

Linear Vacuum Tube CD Player 16 bit non oversampling
The Consonance Reference CD 2.2 is a Red Book CD player
using a Crystal 24 bit/192kHz upsampling DAC with a Sovtek
6H30 tube buffered output stage. The Consonance weighs in
at a solid 16kg, topped with real wood trim. The wood,
embossed with the Opera Audio logo, looks and feels
gorgeous, a substantial brushed aluminium front panel and
chrome knobs imparts a classy, minimalist look.
The smooth and silent centre mounted transport sits above a
simple blue display. This is flanked by the two polished
chrome knobs that operate like giant toggle switches; power
and tray access on the left, transport functions on the
right. These operate with a simple functionality. The usual
IEC power plug, a set of RCA single ended outputs, a pair
of XLR balanced outputs and a master output level control
fills out the rear panel.
