CDP-O.6T valve CD player
£1100
Sold with full-feature remote.
The great success of Lector's CDP 0.5T tube-output CD
player inspired the factory to design a new update model
version:one with a 24 bit-resolution DAC(selected by
Lector) and phase circuit output control to invert or keep
standard the absolute phase at output.
Around the ECC81/12AT7 tube output Lector designed a simple
6 db/octave passive filter. Combined with ZERO feedback,
Lector feels that this approach yields the best performance
possible. Great attention has been paid to the power supply
section: five stages of regulation and a big power
transformer are used to ensure complete control over all of
the circuitry
The DAC used is a "new concept" chip: 24 bit - 96 Khz for
better linearity and lowest distortion.
Optional balanced output.

When the perfect mechanical solution joins the original
electronic design, a superior Lector cd player is born and
many original mechanical solutions are adopted as original
(internal Lector factory made).
-
Read out laser mechanism and special made brass pillar
suspension
Separate power supply with independent section main power switch ON/OFF (digital/analog).
Three power toroidal hi-flux transformers - Exclusive CD disc clamp with two axis stabilization (effect by special magnet).
- Sophisticated selection of DAC type dual mono PCM-63 BB 20 bit with independent board pcb for jitter reduction
- An original circuit design drives and controls the gain of the first tube stage ( chatode direct drive coupling)
-
Passive dithering circuit increases real bit resolution
near to the barrier of 20 bit ( Lector invented this
original circuit design)
Custom made CD mechanism with three isolated plate stages and vibration system discharge control spindle
The circuitry of the power supply has 14 regulation stages, only one capacitor on the signal path, film & foil custom made, and a specially constructed chassis out of die-cast aerospace aluminum.
The output tube triode circuitry is in class A with only one passive first order filter so it does not have indesiderate rotative signal phase.
The Lector CD mechanism has two different types of damping, the first by special damping rubber in neoprene and the second by lattice-rubber a solution adopted for analog turntables. A original magnetic clamp system gives more stability to the rotation of the CD disc giving double stabilization on two axis: horizontal and vertical.
This smallish, two-piece vacuum tube-output CD player is simply a joy to listen to. As Harry Pearson of The Absolute Sound noted recently, the CDP-7T plays music nearly on par with the over-60-grand top-of-the-line Burmester CD drive and DAC. At the very fair price, this piece is a solid steal. A large, easy-to-read display and nice handset round out this fine package.

Lector Alphatop signature
The Lector Alphatop signature is a top loading cd-player
with separate power supply unit.
This Lector top loading cd player incorporates a totally
new technology around hi-resolution digital to analog
converter with upsampling by a digital signal processor
technique (DSP). The circuitry uses a discrete device
amplifier for the output stage, this active device has been
selected for precision low noise operation and tracking for
both stereo channels at better than 0.1 db! Their are
no capacitors in the signal path, for the clearest and most
detailed sound and the analog output is DC operated. A
solid shielded cabinet (aluminum for aeronautic
applications) has a thickness of 2.0 mm to reduce
interference from the emc field for a better signal to
noise ratio.
Great attention has been focused on Lectors design of the
power supply, this circuitry operates with over
four-thousand micro farad capacitors for reduce noise and
best reservoir energy, these hi value capacitors work
together with special ultra low noise voltage regulator
devices as shunt-parallel technology.

TRANSPORT
DIGIDRIVE T.L. and it's separate power supply box
unit MODEL: PSU-DTL
It's really difficult for some companies to understand the
limitations of today's Redbook CD players, and with that in
mind, Lector has designed and built a CD transport with
important improvements over past generations of similar
machines.
Lector’s mania for leading-edge quality and engineering
extends to making critical parts such as the cabinet
(aerospace-type aluminum), a special digital output
transformer (Olla hi energy flux type), and their mods and
tips on the C.D.M. mechanism (reinforcements of aluminum
plate and mods on laser pick-up. Lector’s solution for a
genuine top loading CD player incorporates three types of
digital output: two SPDF (RCA+BNC) and one AES/EBU
(professional XLR). To reduce magnetic interference from
the power transformer, Lector has made a separate power
supply unit .All of this extra trouble results in a DC
drive (and if partnered with the Digicode 2.24 DAC, a full
CD playback system) of unprecedented performance and style,
one that will continue to play your CDs at their very best
for many years to come.
