The Hart EVO-1 loudspeaker has been designed and built by technicians at Hart Audio. Expertly and beautifully crafted by hand, these Burr Walnut powerhouses utilize superior patented sonic and construction technology.
There are four cabinets in total, two for each stack. The cabinets are interchangeable allowing for four different arrangements which provide for maximization of listening area characteristics as well as music taste. For modern music with the need for optimization of bass, the cabinets although insulated, are floor mounted with the bass cabinets on top of the full range cabinets providing the most efficient and resonant free bass reproduction. For cinema auditorium installations, using two pairs, the bass cabinets are floor mounted and positioned beneath the full range cabinets to establish full bass coverage between each stack and provide a wide sound dispersion area from the higher frequency full range cabinets. To produce the finest reproduction of analogue based recordings such as classical and rock with higher bass frequencies.
The stands are needed and the bass cabinets positioned beneath the full range cabinets to obtain optimum crispness, speed and detail needed to produce the widest soundstage and dynamics. The final arrangement of positioning the bass cabinets above the full range cabinets and the stack, stand mounted is a compromise between the previous three arrangements and provides all round performance.
Each of the four cabinets is insulated by a patented technique incorporating polished stainless steel plates and bearings, as pictured, which provide resonance insulation through minimal surface area contact between the cabinets as well as between the cabinets and the stands. The stands are also floor insulated.
Each stack incorporates 10 speaker drive units, 8 of which use a patented arrangement actively powered by a 500 watt RMS Hart Evo-1 rear mounted panel amplifier. The other two drive units consist of a 12" full range driver in a co-axial arrangement with a deep throated centrally located high power tweeter.
