Designed as a no compromise full range loudspeaker system
that adheres to the original concept of High Fidelity. The
cabinet is very heavy and very rigid, whilst the sound
radiating cones and ribbons are very low mass (extremely
light) to give the most accurate sound. Great care has been
taken in the driver selection and the crossover design to
ensure seamless integration across the frequency range
ensuring a virtually flat response with the lowest
distortion. The specially designed integrated stands
mean the speakers are totally isolated from the floor from
5Hz upwards, to prevent speaker/floor resonance,
transmission of sound to the floor and vibration from the
floor to the speaker. It REALLY does work! All these
benefits combine to produce speakers that play tunes in the
bass like no other. They simply sound right, on any
material!

Based on the original and extremely successful Glastonbury
II loudspeaker, which original owners still treasure, the
Tor embodies many of the features of the Glastonbury II
including the plaster/steel cabinet, the long throw
aluminium cone bass unit and the novel double flared
port.
Speaker cabinets should not be flimsy; therefore these are
made from extremely stiff gypsum artificial stone in a
welded steel shell.
