An object of desire cherished by music lovers around the
world, the MC275 was designed and engineered in 1961 by
McIntosh co-founder Sidney Corderman and the McIntosh
Engineering Team. Based upon the extraordinary Unity
Coupled Circuit, the MC275 has a lush sound that presents a
powerful and detailed soundstage.
The
MC275 develops 75 watts per channel into 2, 4 or 8 ohm
loads, or 150 watts in bridged mono mode. Both balanced and
single ended inputs are supported. The mirror polished
stainless steel and black chassis with die cast nameplate
is presented here just as it was in the original 1961
model.

C2300

The
C2300 Vacuum Tube Preamplifier combines a suite of potent
engineering enhancements with smart, user-programmable
features to deliver a truly extraordinary audio
preamplifier. Each input may have the bass, treble, and
mono/stereo mode adjusted and stored in memory. When
individual inputs are selected, these settings will engage
as preset by the listener. All adjustments may be made
either from the frontpanel or remote control.
Two
12AX7a Vacuum Tubes are used for each of three sections:
the Moving Magnet phono section, the Moving Coil section,
and the high-level preamp section. Its phono sections are
fully adjustable “on the fly,” so the listener may change
impedance or loading settings as the record plays. A high
performance headphone amplifier with a 1/4" headphone jack
is included.

C220
£4095
The
C220 Vacuum Tube Preamplifier possesses all the flexibility
modern systems require while maintaining the
highest-quality two-channel performance. All signal
switching is done electromagnetically with switch contacts
sealed inside glass cylinders filled with an inert gas.
Locating these switches adjacent to the input/output jacks
virtually eliminates crosstalk, and their sealed
construction guarantees trouble-free operation.
The
C220 allows for electronic, independent level adjustment
for each of the eight source inputs via the front panel or
remote control. Channel balance is electronically adjusted
and stored in memory. A moving magnet phono stage
incorporates time-proven 12AX7 Vacuum Tubes, for simplicity
and superior performance. Low-distortion bass and treble
controls, invaluable for older recordings, provide a wide
range of tonal adjustment and may be bypassed when not
needed.

Eight inputs including a Dual Aux/Moving Magnet Phono input
give you complete flexibility.

C500
£12390
The McIntosh C500 Stereo Preamplifier is a no-holds-barred,
fully-balanced, dual-mono design with separate power
supplies. Available with solid-state or tube preamplifier
modules, the C500 preamplifier marries outstanding audio
performance with flexible user-programmability in a
stunning two-chassis solution.
At
its heart are dual R-Core transformers that anchor a
massive power supply, providing the audio circuits with
clean, rock-solid power enough to handle even the most
demanding musical passages with ease. Three balanced
inputs, four single-ended inputs and two processor loops
guarantee the flexibility necessary for operation with the
finest source components. Moving Coil and Moving Magnet
phono preamplifiers are supported in both the solid-state
and tube preamplifier modules.

C1000
£19990
The debate over whether tubes or transistors sound better
is still going strong after forty years. McIntosh has led
in both technologies, and has just raised the bar again,
with the C1000, Stereophile Magazine's 2006 Amplification
Product of the Year. The C1000 is a three-chassis design
that offers the ultimate in flexibility. It lets the
listener choose between a solid-state preamplifier, vacuum
tube preamplifier, or both. All three modules can be
combined with each source available through either
preamplifier module, selectable at the push of a remote
control button. For ultimate stereo fidelity the
preamplifier modules employ Dual Mono topologies yielding
over 130 dB of channel separation.

MA2275
£7895
The MA2275 is the first McIntosh integrated amplifier to
rely exclusively on vacuum tubes in all audio circuits. The
new design combines classic vacuum tube audio performance
with state of the art control technology.
A
new ultra-low-noise preamp has been engineered for the
MA2275. Old-fashioned point-to-point wiring, common in

MC75 Tube Monoblock Power Amplifier
The
year is 1961; McIntosh Laboratory has introduced the MC275
75 watt per channel stereo amplifier and its 75 watt
monaural counterpart, the MC75. Just three years earlier
the BBC had begun regular broadcasts in stereo sound, and
demand for stereo playback systems was growing. Still,
recognizing the value of monoblock amplifiers to the
ultimate quality of audio playback, McIntosh releases the
MC75. Here is early proof of our penchant for pushing the
limits of performance in an effort to provide our customers
with the very best solutions in audio. In recognition of
our 60th anniversary, it is with great pride that we offer
this Limited Edition MC75 amplifier. Largely true to the
original design, the 60th Anniversary Edition MC75 offers
many circuit updates that improve reliability while
retaining the alluring sonic character of the original.
Among the updates is a custom application of the patented
Sentry Monitor short circuit protection. Balanced inputs
and outputs are added to make this amplifier ready for
today’s digital sources. The MC75 develops 75 watts into 2,
4, or 8 ohms. A brilliant, triple-polished gold color
titanium stainless steel chassis takes the place of chrome
plating for a stunning appearance that lasts a lifetime.
