CLASSIC ONE MkIII Integrated amplifier
£1,725
The Classic One was created to embody, in a more affordable
amplifier, all the know-how and expertise acquired
developing reference products. Classic One represents a new
standard in its price category: in a single chassis, a
preamplifier and power amplifier, completely separated from
each other and provided with their own individual power
supplies provide an astonishing level of sound quality,
The preamplifier is purely tube, balanced, pure Class A,
extremely low noise, with high intrinsic linearity and
without any feedback. It provides an exquisitely tube sound
in terms of transparency, air, harmonics and refinement. In
a word, musicality.

The solid state power amplifier stage features high bias
current, Class A/AB, easily able to drive any load. It
provides speed and dynamics, without influencing the (tube)
nature of the sound. The volume control is motorized and
remote controlled. The remote itself is of solid wood.
Power supplies are over-dimensioned and stabilised.
Selected components, pure silver Pathos signal cable
wiring, gold plated terminals, high quality materials, and
refinement at its highest standard are additional benefits
provided with the Classic One.
Together with such sound performance and overall quality,
the Classic One is offered at a price that clearly
demonstrates a philosophy of value for money. This is all
possible thanks to an aimed design approach coupled with
extremely accurate engineering and superior aesthetic form.

LOGOS Integrated amplifier £3095
Pathos’ designers regard every new project as a challenge regardless of the targeted retail price. And this is only natural since they have to face reference machines such as the multiple award-winning Pathos creations TT (formerly T.T.), InPower and InControl. That’s why, after almost two years of design, prototypes, testing and listening, the new Logos integrated amplifier finally comes as close as possible to the peerless quality provided by our proprietary INPOL technology.
The Logos is a two-in-one machine that combines pre- and power amplification stages in a common chassis. The circuit has been laid-out in a feedback-free ‘natural’ way according to the fundamental principles of the Pathos philosophy. The pre-amplification stage is entirely tube-based, balanced, operates in pure class A and is powered by a dedicated stabilized power supply. The digital 100-step volume control system is 100% resistive thanks to an integrated network of high precision, laser-trimmed resistors that guarantee perfect interchannel balance. The input selector is operated through high-tech miniaturized relays, originally developed for very high frequency telecommunication applications.

The output stage is true dual-mono and outfitted with
oversized transformers and power supplies to deliver high
current into even demanding loads. This stage ensures great
energy for superior dynamics and punch, without affecting
the warmth, naturalness and musicality provided by the tube
stage.
Finally, flexibility is provided for with 5 RCA and 2
balanced XLR input pairs, a two-digit LC display and fully
remote controlled functions over volume, mute, input
selection and LCD brightness.
- Output power: 110W RMS @ 8 Ohm, 220W RMS @ 4 Ohm
CINEMA X
2 channel/5+1 channel Integrated Amplifier £5250
There’s a section of the audiophile community who are gradually turning towards home cinema and five channel sound. However this move usually compromises the stereo sound or even requires two different systems. Pathos dares to prove that it is possible to integrate high performance stereo and surround sound in one product. When operated as a stereo amplifier, Cinema-X delivers an awesome 450 watts per channel into 8 ohms. In 5.1 mode it delivers 5 x 110 watts into 8 ohms with very wide bandwidth, making it ideal for high resolution media.
The circuitry has been laid out according to Pathos’
topology: tubes for amplifying voltage and mosfets for
amplifying current. This creates the best synergy between
the traditional approaches of designing amplifiers. The
tube preamp stage operates in class A and uses 6 tubes, one
for each amplifier channel and one for the sub-woofer
output. Each channel can be individually adjusted via the
remote control.
The power section employs mosfets and all five boards are
identical to ensure equal sound quality and power in all
channels. The high power rate is due to the intelligent
layout: in stereo-mode it automatically turns off the
center channel and transforms the remaining amplifiers into
balanced mode.
All these technical initiatives ensure superior sound.
There is ambience, warmth and realism from the tube stage
combined with astonishing control and pace from the power
stage. The result is an articulate yet open and dynamic
sound.
Although very advanced, the Cinema-X is a joy to use.
Connect a DVD player with a built-in decoder, or an
external decoder, to the 5.1 inputs for world-renowned
Pathos sound in five channels. Or use one of the XLR or RCA
stereo inputs for two-channel sound (2x450Watt). Cinema-X
is a stunning a performer in five channel mode without
making any sacrifices in two-channel sound quality.
Music lovers now have the possibility of watching movies
without sonic compromise. Those buying the Cinema-X just
for listening to stereo music will not be disappointed
either!

TT RR Integrated amplifier £3,995
The first appearance of Pathos on the hi-fi scene did not go unnoticed: a short time after its debut, the T.T. has achieved a solid position in the history of high-fidelity. International audio reviews welcomed the first product from Pathos with highly enthusiastic comments and numerous prestigious awards.
When listening to music reproduced through a T.T. amplifier, you will experience an overwhelming difference in terms of musicality, transparency, tonal color and absence of listening fatigue. The reason: INPOL®, Pathos’ exclusive worldwide patented pure Class A feedback-free circuitry.

Highly selected components, pure silver Pathos signal
wiring, and craftsmanship of the highest level are the most
appropriate compliments to the T.T. reference sound.
Through the years, the TT has been constantly perfected and
updated in order to keep this living legend alive. Today
the T.T. is availible in its original volume configuration
— a purely reststive 24-step manual volume control — and
also in a remote controlled version: an optical device
which drives a battery of read relays (vacuum packed,
thorium contacts), which in turn drive a network of
precision resistors (1% metal layer) in 1dB steps.
The T.T. has achieved a level of respect across the globe
for its originality of industrial design, uniqueness in
circuit topology, and sincerity in sonic reproduction.
Simply put, the T.T. exists for those who believe music is
food for the soul.
- integrated amplifier operating in pure class A according to INPOL® circuitry
- Power output: 2 x 35W @ 8 Ohm
INPOL 2 Integrated amplifier £6225
50 watts
INPOL2 is the latest creation from Pathos, so-called because in the design Pathos presents the 2nd generation of their proprietary INPOL® technology. It is also a completely balanced dual-mono configuration — easily recognized by the styling. INPOL®, which carries a worldwide patent and gave birth to the multi-award winning products TT and InPower, has undergone advanced evolution. The INPOL2 is a unique amplifier in many aspects and its sound quality will simply astound.
The INPOL2 is constructed as a hybrid with CLASS A amplification (45watt) and an impressively wide bandwidth in a feedback-free layout. The preamplifier is entirely tube-based, balanced and optimized for feeding the mosfet output stage to maximum effect. Tubes are still the best components for amplifying the signal voltage, in order to preserve the harmonic integrity of the input signal.

A solid state stage is used to provide high current at low
impedance, in order to drive any loudspeaker accurately.
The power stage is entirely balanced by the use of two
INPOL circuits that are driven in opposite phase to each
other, for virtual cancellation of distortion without using
any feedback. Large coils are used as energy reserves in
order to deliver the current in a fast, effective and
precise manner.
Pathos engineers have chosen yet another “unorthodox
approach” in the power supply - PHYSICS™ (Pathos Hybrid
Stabilised Independent Current Supply). The
pre-amplification section is operated by a low current
power supply, dedicated to the tubes. The output stage is
fed by a switch mode power supply. The reason for this
choice is the output stage’s great demand of current at low
load impedance as-well as high efficiency and independence
of variations on the mains. The two power supplies are
completely separated and carefully shielded.
The overall sound of the INPOL2 is no less than stunning in
its detail and involvement and is as close to the
top-of-the -range InPower and InControl as possible. The
musical, rich and warm sound from the tubes is combined
with the pace and dynamics of the mosfets. Transparency,
presence, the enormous soundstage, absence of listening
fatigue, and the capability of reproducing all instruments
realistically — true high-fidelity.
INCONTROL
Two-box preamplifier and power supply
£4175
Are we going to allow our highly innovative monoblock
amplifiers to be driven by a business-as-usual
preamplifier? Definitely not.
The InControl project started with this goal: to provide
the InPower monoblocks with a control unit that would allow
them to deliver all their impressive potential. The
research and development required two years of research and
experimentation. The end result is outstanding.

InControl is a two stage preamplifier entirely and
intrinsically balanced, operating in pure Class A.
InControl has been developed according to all the
traditional Pathos guidelines: tube tension amplification,
solid state current amplification, well dimensioned power
supplies and the highest quality selected components.
The amplification stage is obtained with a double triode in
balanced configuration, while the output buffer is de
signed with extremely low noise components, for a sonic
result which favours musicality, transparency and
naturalness.
In order to achieve maximum performance, power is obtained
by means of single stabilized shielded power suppliers
installed in a separate unit.
The volume control — which can be adjusted either by
dialing the knob or via the hand crafted solid wood remote
control — is of the highest sophistication: it acts in 1dB
steps by means of an optical device which drives a battery
of relais (vacuum packed, with thorium contacts), which
drive a network of precision resistors (1%, metal layer).
In a word, accuracy at its finest.
- two stage preamplifier with remote in pure Class A
- Volume control: purely resistive, in 1 dB steps
- Inputs: 5 line, including one balanced (XLR)
- Outputs: 3, including one balanced (XLR)
INPOWER (each): Monoblock power amplifier £4250
The InPower monoblock power amplifiers represent the evolution of INPOL® circuitry that originated with the T.T. integrated amplifier. The purpose of the InPower project was to design an amplifier able to drive all loudspeakers. even in spacious listening environments. All this with the same state-of-the-art sound quality of the T.T.

How to achieve a wider tension swing without increasing
distorsion nor introducing any feedback whatsoever?
The major problem was solved by adopting an intrinsically
balanced input stage which drives a double INPOL® stage in
balanced configuration, using a double triode tube — which
is formed by two single triodes intrinsically identical to
each other. Since they are made with the same material, at
the same temperature, in the same environmental condition
and at the same time — we can achieve transfer curves which
are almost identical to each other. These two triodes are
driven in opposite phase as to neutralise the curve
distortion. This regards tension amplification. As for
current amplification, the same result was obtained with a
Double INPOL® circuit using selected NPN components.
The InPower reproduces sound which is exquisitely “tube” in
terms of musicality, warmth and transparency, with the
speed and dynamics typical of the most respected solid
stale amplifiers.
As is custom with Pathos, all components are care fully
selected, the signal wiring is Pathos pure silver cable,
materials and craftsmanship are of the highest level and
the industrial design is equal to the sonic performance.
In essence, the InPower introduces to the world a truly
unique weaving of power and passion.
- entirely balanced, Double INPOL® power amplifier in pure class A
- Feedback: absent
- Output power: 80 W @ 8 Ohm
In The Groove MkII Balanced Phono Preamplifier £1425
The InTheGroove MKII is a state of the art passive phono-amplifier that features completely independent left and right channel operation, designed for both MC and MM phono cartridges. The very refined sound follows the Pathos tradition of great soundstage, high realism, transparency, dynamics and musicality. it is powered by batteries in order to provide as clean and stable power as possible. Since the output from the pick-up is low, the risk of “disturbing” the signal is higher. By using batteries in the power supply the risk of interference is minimised — the power is extremely stable and thereby avoids the turbulence that often appears on the mains net.

High sound quality is further improved by using selected
components of highest quality and balanced mode operation.
Balanced layout is something rarely seen in phono
amplifiers — but it has the advantage of lower noise and
therefore a cleaner signal. The input-stage is the most
critical in a phono-amplifier, and InTheGroove’s first gain
stage uses JFETs to ensure the lowest possible input random
noise. After the JFET input stage the very finest opamps
handle the signal and ensure the correct gain. Together
these initiatives ensure high gain, low noise and a
peerless sound.
Gain is user-selectable with an additional 20dB. The built
in charger makes it easy to use and set-up. After a period
with no signal it will switch off automatically and
recharge if the batteries are low. This guarantees the
longest battery life. The variety of adjustments allows
your cartridge to perform at its best.
- passive RIAA in pure Class A powered by batteries.
- Input state by low noise transistors
- Balanced output
- Gain 60dB + possibility of adding another 20dB.
- Charger built in, automatic stand-by.
